I was able to secure a grad assistantship while working on my master's degree that included a tuition waiver.

There are plenty of scholarships, grants, and loans if you need them. It can be disappointing not to have that support from them, but you are an adult and can handle your choices as you please (even if you have to pay off loans).Randall @ Happy For This Momenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05641122256831489079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36930081.post-40855568079530334212008-08-19T09:16:00.000-06:002008-08-19T09:16:00.000-06:00I'm a mom of two college kids in a Christian colle...I'm a mom of two college kids in a Christian college (read: money!) They work part time, have loans, scholarships, and we help them monthly, but still, they will graduate with debt. It's crazy, and I feel for you. If it were anything other than education, I'd say hold off, but an education is something no one can ever take away from you. You have the rest of your life to pay off your debt, and it is your life. If you are called to teach, it is a noble thing. Not all noble things are enjoyable each and every day, so teaching won't be either. But I think it's wonderful that you want to make a difference. You may be called to make sacrifices (money-wise) to fulfill your calling. This is my first time here, and I have no authority to speak into your life, but your comments were just so relevant to me I couldn't resist. Sorry for such a long comment!2nd Cup of Coffeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05478944775613602625noreply@blogger.com
